Arriving to the Czech Republic and unsure how to get to the city centre? There is multiple ways!

The Prague Airport has 3 terminals:
Terminal 1 – flights outside of Schengen area – e.g. Great Britain, Ireland, Cyprus, Romania, Bulgaria etc.
Terminal 2 – flights within the Schengen area Terminal 3 – private and freight flights
There are bus stops in front of all three of them.
Public transport
There is many buses going frequently from the airport to various metro stations. You clearly can use Google maps to find the connection between the airport and your destination; but the best way to get to the city centre is to take bus number 119 and transfer to the green (A) line metro in Nadraží Veleslavín, which will then take you to Muzeum (Wenceslav’s square). The ticket costs 40 CZK and the trip takes 33 minutes. Tickets can be purchased in Ticket machines (cards accepted) directly at the bus stop.

Airport Express
More expensive, but faster way to get to the Main Train station, which is located downtown. The trip takes around 40 minutes. Tickets can be purchased directly from the bus driver and cost 100 CZK for adults, 50 CZK for children. Children up to 6 years of age travel for free.
The buses run from 5:30 till 22:00 every 20-30 minutes.
Taxi
As airport taxis have become known as fraudish, charging enormous amounts of money from lost travelers, the city established in spring 2023 for Uber to be the official taxi provider. The price should be around 500 CZK from downtown.

Train
Prague is planning on building a railway leading from Masaryk’s Train station to the airport, however we will have to wait a bit to enjoy this fast way of transport – it is only bound to be finished in 2028 – 2030. The trip shall take only 27 minutes.
