For immigration to the Czech Republic, it is important to know which days are public holidays. These are work holidays when important offices are closed and will not process your visa application.

If a public holiday falls on a weekend, there is no compensation day and offices operate as usual.
Also take into consideration that in the case of multi-day holidays (such as Christmas or the first week of July) or holidays close to the weekend, a larger number of officials may take longer work leave to "bridge" the days off. The number of officials
in the administrative offices may be limited, which can slow down processes considerably.
To help you plan your relocation to the Czech Republic around these bank holidays, here is a list of public holidays for 2022:
1. 1. Day of restoration of the independent Czech state + New Year
15. 4. Easter holidays – Good Friday
18. 4. Easter holidays – Easter Monday
1. 5. Labour Day
8. 5. WW2 Victory Day
5. 7. Day of the Slavic Saints Cyril and Methodius
6. 7. Day of the Burning of Master Jan Hus
